Creating Better Futures would like to reassure our supporters that we are closely monitoring the Coronavirus outbreak and that we have taken the appropriate steps to ensure the safety of the children, their families, our staff, volunteers and supporters.

Coronavirus update from Zimbabwe

There are currently no confirmed cases in Zimbabwe, but we are preparing for any eventuality. The health and wellbeing of the children and their communities is a high priority. Our team are liaising with schools and families to ensure that they have adopted the best practices for prevention and protection. We have asked our staff to communicate electronically where possible, in order to reduce the possibility of exposure to the virus.

We will continue to monitor events in Zimbabwe and proceed accordingly with any developments.

Coronavirus update from Reading

We have closed our office and asked all staff, volunteers and trustees to work from home. This will come into effect immediately. We have also recommended that everyone follow government and NHS advice.

The Reading Half Marathon has also been postponed. We are aware of all the hard work that our runners have put into fundraising and training. We will await further guidance from the Reading Half Marathon team but will arrange for a time where our runners can complete the 13.1 miles if the event is cancelled.

Thank you for your support at this time.
