FAQs – Monthly Donations2019-01-21T18:28:10+00:00
1. I want to make a monthly donation to Creating Better Futures, but I don’t want it to go towards sponsoring a child, is this possible and what else will the money go towards?2019-01-21T18:02:13+00:00

Yes, you are more than welcome to make a monthly donation of any amount, big or small to us through our CAF online donation page. Donations of this nature go into a budget called ‘unrestricted funding’. This becomes a pot of money that is available for things that may crop up as a cost that needs covering in the future. For example, fixing an existing borehole or well, paying for additional medical costs for a child, increasing the feeding programme if the need is there.

We will soon have an option on our website to give towards a specific project, if you do not wish for your money to into our unrestricted funding budget, you can use this as an option to make sure your money goes towards something that interests you. Examples of what this will look like are- a water filter, a chicken for a family, or a food package.

2. How much is a good amount to donate monthly?2019-01-21T18:03:12+00:00

Any amount, small or big will make a difference in changing lives in Zimbabwe. Through our feeding programme, £1 feeds 1 child for 1 month, so please give what you can.

4. Can I find out where my money has been going?2019-01-21T18:05:08+00:00

Yes, email or call us at any time on info@creatingbetterfutures.org.uk or 01183271154 and we can make an enquiry to work out what your money has been going towards.

5. How do I know that my money is going to the children/ projects?2019-01-21T18:06:29+00:00

By working independently of the Zimbabwean government, we are able to ensure that the money directly reaches our team on the ground who then use trusted and vetted suppliers where capital goods need to be purchased. The team then send receipts of all payments made, including payments to the schools, back to the team in the UK on a monthly basis.

If you would like to look at our accounts further, they can all be found on the UK Government’s Charity Commission Page: http://apps.charitycommission.gov.uk/Showcharity/RegisterOfCharities/CharityWithoutPartB.aspx?RegisteredCharityNumber=1148929&SubsidiaryNumber=0
