Creating Better Futures believe that all children should feel loved. We ensure that all the children supported by CBF know that we are thinking of them over the Christmas period…
HOPE (part of Reading Family Church) recently presented Creating Better Futures with a cheque for £1051.41, which has been used to provide gifts for 165 children in Zimbabwe. Our volunteers have been very busy visiting all of the schools we support and giving Christmas presents to disadvantaged children in Zimbabwe! They have visited Chitakatira, Mutake and Cheza Primary Schools.
Each child received a parcel which was comprised of:
- A pair of shoes
- 10 notebooks
- 3 knickers/boxer shorts
- A pen
- Biscuits
- Sweets
- A packet of crisps
- School socks
The children at Chitakatira School were ecstatic as they were not expecting a visit from CBF, let alone Christmas gifts! The children all excitedly expressed their gratitude and said “Maita Basa” which translates to “Thank you, you have done us a great job”.
The School Development Association has praised Creating Better Futures for all the work we have been doing in Zimbabwe and urged us to continue with the great work.
